Join the team: Events Administrator 11 Dec
The Lincolnshire Showground is home to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, a charity whose main objectives are to promote Food, Farming and the Countryside. It is responsible for organising a range of events throughout the year including the Food & Gift Fair, Countryside Lincs, the Lincolnshire Farming Conference, as well as the flagship event, The Lincolnshire Show.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Administrator to join the business. Reporting to the Sponsorship & Trade Sales Manager, the position is predominantly an administrative role with an element of sales, both face to face and via the telephone.
A key part of the role will involve assisting with administration and trade stand sales for the Lincolnshire Show, the Food & Gift Fair, Countryside Lincs and other internal events.
The successful candidate will ideally have had experience dealing with customers by email and telephone. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are also required. Being able to maintain accuracy whilst dealing with queries during busy periods is essential.
You will work alongside all departments of the business including education, facilities and marketing so experience of working well in a team and under pressure, along with being able to time manage your own workload is essential.
The job would suit a pro-active, enthusiastic team player with excellent administrative skills and a “can do” attitude.
Due to the nature of the business, a flexible approach to working patterns is essential. Additional hours will be required on the build up to the Lincolnshire Show, the Food & Gift Fair, Countryside Lincs and other internal events. This role would suit someone with previous office experience.
We offer an attractive salary plus bonus scheme and company pension.
